Who Is Mark Webb?
In Order To Understand Who I Am, You Must First See Where I’ve Been
I grew up with an incredible mother, but a not so great father. You see, my parents were teenagers when they had me. My dad moved to Ohio, and my mom stayed home in good ol’ Tennessee with me. We lived with my grandmother for a while, my mom working 3 jobs to provide for my lil self.
I’d go visit my dad once or twice a year, but even at a young age, I knew the environment wasn’t a place I wanted to be.
My mom remarried. She took his last name and a few years later, so did I. That environment I spoke of earlier, I decided I didn’t want to be around it anymore and I became a Webb for good.
Fast forward a few years. Though I got rid of his last name, I was stuck with his traits. By the time I was 18, I had been behind bars, on probation multiple times, kicked out of two schools, and tried nearly every drug you could imagine. My drug of choice? Heroine laced ecstasy. I would eat 3 rolls a day just to feel normal. The habit spiraled out of control and I got involved in some very shady business in order to keep my addiction fed.
I finally decided, “Enough is Enough,” and that it was time to get my sh*t together. I cut out friends, moved back home, I went into seclusion. It helped, but I needed a new addiction. That new addiction would become my passion.
By the time I decided to get my act together, I weighed a measly 127 lbs.
The Rise
My grandfather is a retired Marine. A retired Marine that bench pressed 315 lbs at the young age of 65. He had his garage filled with training equipment that he welded together from old iron. A bench press, squat rack, and some accessory machines. I asked him if he would put me on a training regimen. His words, “Be here every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 4 p.m. No excuses.” I agreed.
My first time under that bar attempting to bench press, I struggled to push 60 lbs. But, week after week, my strength grew. I had finally put on a little bit of size, weighing in at about 150 at this time, and thought I was one of the big boys. That was until a friend of mine told me, “Bro, you’re small, you should hit the gym.” He may not know it, but that was a defining moment in my life. That was the moment my new addiction turned into my passion.
I began researching everything I could concerning training, nutrition, supplements, and anything else related to building muscle.
I tried every training split, every hot new supplement, and every nutrition protocol under the sun.
I began piecing it all together. Taking what worked from each, and trashing the fluff. It’s through 10+ years of trial and error that I’ve figured out some of the most effective diet and training protocols and continue to get incredible results for myself and my clients.
My goal now is to transform the fitness industry and 1,000,000 lives by showing you how to build muscle and get fit while keeping health and longevity a top priority.
